Taman Negara National Park Day Trip with Canopy Walk

Taman Negara National Park in Pahang protects one of the oldest tropical rainforests on the planet, and this day trip takes you deep into it. The forest is home to Malayan tigers, Indian elephants and countless other species, though sightings of the larger animals are rare given how elusive they are. The centrepiece of the trip is the canopy walkway, a suspension bridge system suspended around 40 metres above the forest floor, giving you a rare view across the treetops from within the canopy itself.

Beyond the walkway, the day includes a wooden boat ride along Sungai Tembeling, navigating seven rapids en route, and a visit to an Orang Asli settlement where you can learn about the aboriginal community's traditions in hunting and gathering. It's a mix of physical activity and cultural insight, all set within a national park that's been left largely untouched.

The trip runs as a full day, starting early at 5:30am and returning by around 8pm, with transport, trekking and river travel all part of the 15-hour itinerary.
