<p>Kuantan 188 Tower rises above the East Coast of Malaysia as the tallest landmark in the region, giving you a completely different view of Kuantan. It's the kind of vantage point that works equally well for a quick photo stop or a longer visit spent taking in the layout of the city.</p><br><p>The tower is built around two main viewing experiences: the Observation Deck and the Sky Deck, each offering a different angle on the city from heights of up to 104 metres. For those after more of an adrenaline hit, the Tower Skywalk lets you step outside the usual comfort of an indoor viewing platform. There are also dining options and souvenir shops on site, so you can turn the visit into a longer outing rather than a quick stop.</p><br><p>Because the views change completely between day and night, this observation tower in Kuantan rewards a visit at either end of the day — soft daylight over the river in the afternoon, or the city lit up after sunset. Whichever you choose, the tower's position makes it one of the easiest ways to get your bearings in Kuantan before exploring further.</p>
What to expect
<p>After entering Kuantan 188 Tower, you'll make your way up to the main viewing levels, where the Observation Deck offers a first look over the city and the Kuantan River below. From here, most visitors move on to the Sky Deck for an open-air perspective, giving unobstructed views across the rooftops and out toward the coastline. Both decks are set up for photography, so it's worth allowing time to walk the full length of each one rather than rushing through.</p><br><p>If you're up for it, the Tower Skywalk adds another layer to the visit, taking you out onto a structure that tests your nerve a little more than a standard viewing platform. Once you've covered the decks and the Skywalk, there's time to relax at one of the dining venues or browse the souvenir shops before heading back down. A full visit, covering both decks and a stop at the Skywalk, comfortably fills an hour or more, longer if you linger over food or wait for sunset.</p>
