Marrakech: Hot Air Balloon Ride with Traditional Breakfast

Rising before dawn, you'll be picked up from your Marrakech accommodation in a 4x4 and driven around 20 kilometres out to the launch site, where Moroccan tea, coffee and pastries are waiting while the crew prepares the balloon. Watching the inflation itself is part of the experience — a large-scale, hands-on process that unfolds right in front of you before you climb aboard.

Once airborne, you'll spend around an hour drifting over the plains and villages that surround Marrakech, with the Atlas Mountains as a backdrop and the sunrise lighting up the landscape below. From this height, the layout of the perched villages and the contrast between the mountains and the flatter terrain become clear in a way you simply don't get from the ground. This hot air balloon ride offers a 360-degree panoramic view and takes off from a platform approved by Morocco's Civil Aviation authority.

Back on solid ground, pilots hand out flight certificates in a short ceremony before everyone sits down to a Berber breakfast under a traditional tent. Afterwards, a driver returns you to your hotel or another location in Marrakech.
