The Kansai Wide-Area Rail Pass voucher must be exchanged for a physical pass within 90 days of purchase; the physical pass is then valid for 5 consecutive days. The Rail Pass is only available to non-Japanese passport holders with 'Short-Term Stay' visa status who are 12 years or older.
How to redeem
You will receive a confirmation email with a QR code. For the Kagawa Pass, show the code at participating facilities. For the Kansai Wide-Area Rail Pass, you must exchange your QR code voucher for a physical ticket at a designated green ticket-vending machine in Japan, using your non-Japanese passport with an IC chip.
