About this experience
teamLab Future Park Okinawa is an interactive digital art space where the artworks respond to you. Created by the digital art collective teamLab, this indoor attraction turns walls, floors and screens into living canvases that shift with color, light and sound as you move through them. It's less a gallery to look at and more a space to take part in.

The best-known installation, Sketch Aquarium, lets you draw your own sea creature that's then scanned and set swimming across a large-scale ocean projection alongside everyone else's. In Light Ball Orchestra, touching the suspended glowing spheres sends ripples of light and sound through the room. Because the artworks change based on how visitors interact with them, no two visits play out quite the same way, and the collaborative nature of the space means you're often shaping the experience alongside other guests.

Set in Okinawa, this teamLab installation makes for an easy indoor stop regardless of weather, with colorful, photogenic rooms throughout. A single ticket covers entry to the full space, and you can move through the installations at your own pace.
What to expect
After entering, you're free to move through the space at your own pace rather than following a set route. Early on, most visitors head to Sketch Aquarium, picking up a paper template, coloring in a fish or sea creature, and watching it get scanned and released to swim across the giant ocean screen with everyone else's creations.

From there, the visit becomes a mix of touch, light and movement across several connected rooms, including Light Ball Orchestra, where brushing against the suspended spheres sets off waves of light and sound. Floors and walls throughout the space respond to footsteps and gestures, so the visuals shift depending on who's in the room and what they're doing. There's no fixed endpoint — you can linger in favorite rooms, retrace your steps, or move quickly through, making the total visit time flexible depending on how long you want to stay.
