Your pass gives you unlimited travel on specified JR lines and buses for five consecutive days. This includes non-reserved seats on the Hokuriku Shinkansen and up to six free seat reservations on designated express trains. You can also use the pass for unlimited rides on specific bus lines, including services to Shirakawa-go and Gokayama.
Practical info
This pass provides 5 consecutive days of travel. The date you select at booking is for order processing, not your pass activation date. Your Exchange Order is valid to be exchanged in Japan for 90 days from purchase; once exchanged, you have 30 days to activate the pass. Age bands: Adult 13+, Child 4–12. Up to two children (1–5) travel free per adult if they do not occupy a seat.
How to redeem
After booking, an Exchange Order will be sent by courier to your home address; this is not your travel pass. Once in Japan, you must present this Exchange Order and your passport at an official JR Exchange Office to receive your physical pass.
Important notes
- This pass is non-refundable once booked.
- This pass is only available for non-Japanese passport holders with a 'Temporary Visitor' stamp in their passport.
- To be eligible, you must obtain the 'Temporary Visitor' stamp at immigration. Do not use the automated gates, as a stamp will not be applied.
- The name entered when booking must exactly match the name on your passport.
