About this experience
Set among lush tropical hills outside Ipoh, ESCAPE Ipoh Adventure and Water Park splits its 40 rides and attractions across two zones. Escape Adventureplay covers the land-based side, with ziplines, climbing structures, and obstacle courses built into the jungle canopy at varying difficulty levels. Escape Waterplay is where the park's signature attraction sits: a tube waterslide that holds a Guinness World Record, alongside diving towers and further water-based rides.
What sets this park apart from a standard theme park is the setting. Rather than clearing the hillside, the rides and courses are built through and around the existing jungle terrain, so the tree cover and natural landscape shape the layout of the park. It's a working example of adventure tourism built into a natural environment rather than replacing it.
A single admission ticket covers access to the park, giving you the flexibility to move between the adventure and water zones and work through the rides at your own pace over the course of a visit.
What to expect
Once inside, you'll choose your direction: head to Escape Adventureplay for the land-based courses or start with Escape Waterplay if the tube slide and diving towers are the priority. The adventure side works through zipline runs, climbing walls, and obstacle courses of increasing difficulty, weaving through the jungle canopy rather than open ground, so expect some uphill walking between sections.
Over in Waterplay, the standout is the Guinness World Record tube waterslide, alongside diving towers and a mix of other slides. Most visitors split their day between both zones, moving at their own pace since the admission ticket covers full park access. With 40 rides on offer and two distinct areas to cover, a full day works best to get through the highlights without rushing.
Things to note
- Bring a change of clothes and swimwear for the water park section
- Wear closed, secure footwear for the obstacle courses and climbing attractions
- Apply sunscreen and reapply through the day, as much of the park is outdoors with limited shade
- Bring a dry bag or waterproof pouch for phones and valuables near the waterslides
- Expect some walking and climbing between attractions given the hillside, jungle terrain
- Arrive early in the day to get through more rides before closing at 18:00
