About this experience
This full-day tour takes you from Rome into Tuscany, tracing the Tiber valley and the vineyards of Chianti before reaching Pisa. You'll walk through Piazza dei Miracoli to see the Leaning Tower, the Baptistery and the Duomo, all carved from the same shining white marble. From there, the journey continues to Florence, the city that shaped the Renaissance between the 14th and 17th centuries.
In Florence, a professional guide leads you through the historic center on foot, past medieval streets and craftsmen's workshops that have changed little over the centuries. You'll see Michelangelo's David at the Accademia, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore with Brunelleschi's dome, Giotto's Bell Tower and the Baptistery. The walking tour ends at Piazzale Michelangelo, where the whole of Florence opens up below you — the Ponte Vecchio, the Arno River and the Duomo in one sweep.
The day runs as a round trip from Rome, with transport included between both Tuscan cities and back. Tickets are available as private or small-group tours, in English, French, Spanish or Portuguese, with small groups capped at 12 people per guide and 6-7 per minivan.
