Madame Tussauds Dubai brings the wax museum concept that began in 1830s London to Bluewaters Island, right next to Ain Dubai. It's the first location of its kind in the Middle East, housing wax figures crafted by a team of 20 sculptors using the same technique Marie Tussaud developed nearly 200 years ago. Seven themed zones take you through film, music, sport, politics and Middle Eastern icons, with figures rendered down to the smallest detail.

What sets this museum apart is the lack of barriers. There are no ropes or rods keeping you at a distance, so you can walk right up to the figures, strike a pose, or sit down beside them for a photo. The seven zones move between different worlds, from Hollywood and Bollywood to sport and world leadership, so the pace of the visit varies as you move from room to room.

This is a self-guided museum experience, meaning you can spend as long as you like in each zone. Its setting on Bluewaters Island puts it within easy reach of other Dubai attractions, making it straightforward to combine with a wider day out on the island.

Once inside, you move through the museum's seven zones at your own pace, starting with the entrance areas that introduce the craft behind each wax figure. From there, the route opens into themed sections covering movie stars, music icons, sporting legends, political leaders, and prominent Middle Eastern figures, each staged with props and settings that suit the personality on display.

Throughout the visit, you're free to get close to every figure, take photos, and pose however you like since there are no ropes or barriers in place. The self-guided format means there's no fixed script to follow. You can linger in the zones that interest you most, whether that's spending extra time with film icons or moving quickly through to reach the sports and leadership sections.
