Leaving the city behind, this desert safari takes you deep into the dunes surrounding Dubai for an afternoon and evening built around the Arabian desert's changing light. A 4WD carries you over the sand for a series of dune drives, with stops along the way for photos before you reach a camel farm for a short briefing on the animals long nicknamed the 'Ships of the Desert.'
From there, the tour continues to a traditional desert campsite in time for sunset. You're welcomed with Arabic coffee and dates, then it's on to camel riding, sandboarding down the dunes, and a henna tattoo session while shisha pipes are passed around. As dusk settles, a falafel sandwich holds you over before dinner: a full barbecue spread accompanied by a Tanoura dance, a fire blower show, and a belly dancing performance that closes out the night under open desert sky.
