About this experience

This ATV quad bike adventure takes you off the beaten path and into the rainforests, river canyons and rice terraces surrounding Ubud. Rather than sticking to paved roads, you'll steer through natural mud tracks, splash across a hidden river canyon and ride straight through a cave tunnel, with the emerald green of Bali's countryside unfolding around every turn.

What sets this experience apart is how close it gets you to rural Bali. The route cuts through authentic Balinese villages and pristine rainforest, far from the traffic and crowds of the island's main tourist areas. Professional guides lead the way and run a safety briefing before you set off, so first-time riders and experienced ones can tackle the terrain with the same confidence.

Tickets are available as single or tandem rides, with the option of round-trip transfers included or meeting directly at the venue. Complimentary pickup is offered for the Ubud area, with additional transport fees applying for other zones across Bali.

What to expect

After arriving at the venue, or being picked up if you've booked transfers, you'll check in and go through a safety briefing led by your guide before getting kitted out and onto your ATV. From there, the route winds through rainforest trails, past rice paddies and into a hidden river canyon, with a cave tunnel and natural mud tracks adding some genuinely off-road moments along the way.

Your guide leads the group throughout, keeping an eye on pacing and safety while pointing out the best spots along the trail. Expect to get muddy and wet as you cross the water sections, so pack accordingly. By the end of the ride, you'll have covered rainforest, farmland and village terrain that most visitors to Bali never see from behind the wheel of an ATV.

Things to note

 • Bring a change of clothes and a towel, as the mud and water tracks mean you will get wet and dirty
 • Wear closed-toe shoes such as sneakers or outdoor sandals; flip-flops and heels are not permitted
 • Arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled start time to allow for check-in
 • Reservations must be made at least three hours in advance as on-site bookings are not accepted
 • Not recommended for pregnant women or those with serious heart conditions or back injuries
 • Couple or tandem rides need to be booked in even numbers, as two people share one ATV
